In November, we will be collecting donations to send Christmas Boxes around the world through Operation Christmas Child. This year, kids can bring in money that will then be used to build boxes online Sunday, November 24th, in large group together! Last year, we sent 50 boxes to kids in Malawi where they were then able to hear the Good News of Jesus. Our UpStreeters enjoyed getting the message of Jesus to these kids by means of a shoebox. Can't wait to do this again this year!

Each week in December & January,  kids are invited to bring in canned goods or dry goods to donate to the Chattanooga Food Bank.
Examples of acceptable food items are:

• Canned foods such as soups, vegetables, spaghettio's, ravioli, & beans
  
• Peanut butter
  
• Tuna packets
  
• Instant Mac N Cheese
  
• Pasta & Sauce, Ramen

Kids may also bring in money to donate to the Food Bank.  Another way to contribute is to pray. There are so many needs in our community, and God sees them all. So, we invite kids to pray over the needs in the community, and that everyone will come to know Jesus. Please know, there is no obligation to bring in items, this is simply an invitation to serve our community together in a tangible way this winter season.

This May, several of our UpStreet leaders are headed back to Guatemala to build another house for a family in need, serve in the community, and share the gospel! You and your kids are invited to begin praying as they prepare for the trip ahead. Another way for the kids to show generosity in February and March is to donate to the cost of building the house. They can bring in change or donate online! Last year, kids were so excited to support their leaders going abroad to share the gospel, and we are excited to invite them to be a part again this year. This is such an incredible opportunity for all of UpStreet to come together and serve others around the world!
